Nature’s Woodland Organic Mulch
The majority of the woody plants used in our designs are indigenous to woodland habitats. In the forest, tree roots are covered by a thick layer of decaying leaves, tree limbs, and twigs that act as nature’s own form of nutrient-rich compost. This material, known as humus, is vital to the survival of large trees in areas where the soil may be limited or lacking in fertility. The Veron Company is proud to be making our version of this naturally occurring product, Nature’s Woodland Mulch™, which replicates the nourishing blend of natural fertilizer that is found in the forest.
This product is made locally, at our Marlborough facility, in a process that mixes aged wood chips with soil conditioning leaf matter. The resulting blend is then processed in a grinding machine, which results in a finely-textured, natural dark brown mulch. The finished product duplicates the natural layer of humus found in woodland settings in both form and function.
